Transanal irrigation is effective in functional fecal incontinence

This retrospective follow-up study of children with functional fecal incontinence (FFI) investigates whether transanal irrigation (TAI) is an effective bowel management therapy. FFI can also be divided into cases related to functional constipation (FC) and into functional non-retentive fecal incontinence (FNRFI). This study investigates whether there is a difference in efficacy of TAI between these two groups.
