This observational study summarizes epidemiological data from a cohort of 52 women with spinal cord injury (SCI), undergoing pregnancy and child birth. In total, data from 67 pregnancies were collected and reported. Data were collected both retrospectively from medical records between 1976 and 2013, and by asking participants to fill out a survey.
Details on type and level of injury, pregnancy course and delivery were collected. In addition, specific emphasis was put on bladder management before, during, and after pregnancy, and whether changes are applicable for women with SCI undergoing pregnancy.
